I am running KODI 16.1 on a Linux system

It appears that the service issues this message when you try to play a channel that is down.

And the announcement says?

A http 403 error means the server saw your request, but won't respond. The announcement says that US based channels are being worked on, so they can't be accessed.

Dara.. Thanks for the feedback on the 403 error. I was getting this error intermittently on various channels for 2 weeks prior to the maintenance. My earlier forum posts provided no info on what this was. Then, after the maintenance, all the American channels gave this error. I concluded that now the service issues this message when a channel is down. In the future, I will post a channel as down on the forum when I get this message.

1sikguy, no problem. I was just making a point that there is no real need to panic when an error is displayed. For me, I appreciate when an add-on accurately gives an error message, rather than just failing. I also don't want people to think that channel reports are not helpful, but just realize it's more of a confirmation to our member base that a channel is down, than an urgent plea to the server guys to fix a channel, and with that plea an expectation that it will be fixed promptly.

Thanks, All for the update, i was resetting and messing stuff up all because of a good thing, I was thinking it was the potato man's fault
i was looking for a new add-on

When you experience issues, look in the News and Announcements area and the IPTV Servers area. The issue is often explained in the announcement area, or you will see others experiencing the same issue in the Server area. This will avoid needless messing around.

Your right. I was having fun..messing up stuff, But i'm still having the same Problem with Potato TV some channels came back but alot of them
doing the same thing. Queston you having any idea how to fix this or is it the Norm? for this Addon....

It depends what you mean by a lot. If it is all the premium channels, then you have a problem with your configuration or your credentials or your account, like maybe it is inactive or expired. If it is a few random channels, then those channels are most likely down.
