So who has compared the buzztv XR 4000 to the Buzztv 3900 and the Buzztv 3000 .............I know the spec differences ...but what about the performance.???

I do have both the 3900 and the 3000 (red sports edition) ...I know the 3900 was a reflashed MyGica to look like a Buzz ...I do think the 3900 responds quicker then the 3000....
But I don't own a XR4000 ...........(can't afford the XRS4000 ...so I'll ask about that one at a later time..........)

Hi floder,

As you indicated, 3900 is quicker than 3000 but to be honest, overall, all of the Buzz boxes are made flawlessly and thanks to the team Buzz for the superb work :)

I have the XRS and I have setup an XR for someone. The server and channel list loading is the biggest performance changes you can notice.

Changing channels is also a little faster but this depends on the server and bandwidth as well so it won't be the same for everyone.

The next best thing is having your Favorite channels on the home screen. Makes it really convenient. And if your currently playing a channel it will continue playing when you back to your home screen (somewhat useful feature)

VOD listing is actually much faster aswell. And the layout of the categories and posters is alot more pleasing then the old format.

That's what stands out for me performance wise. I never owned the 3900 so I can't say if it's a worth investment to upgrade from that box.

But going from a 3000(or older) to 4000 is well worth it especially if it's a few years old. Definitely a noticeable increase in performance.
