buying another box

currently have a mag 256 and purchasing another one
any recommendations regarding the 254 versus the 256
both are the same price
for me the 256 has been good up until recently

if you can afford it, i'd go with an nvidia shield. and use stbemu (stb emulator).

It basically emulates an android box. but just my two cents. Goodluck with whatever you get.

It boil's down to about 110$ vs 235$. The only difference in the 256 vs the 254 is a slightly faster processor.

If it's been good why change it? Only reason i recommend the shield, is that you have much more options available.

The best thing you can do on this is to go to the different box forums and read up. I'm closing the thread, as direct comparisons of different boxes in the box threads gets confusing, and sometimes contentious.
