In the right hand corner of the info screen while watching a live channel there are three blue bars. Sometimes they are all blue and sometimes they aren't or just one bar is blue, etc. What do these mean?

I've tried three different external hds and or usb sticks and i get the error message that they aren't compatible. These same three work on my 2K box but not my 3K. What am I missing? Thanks.

I currently have Spectrum internet and their 100 mbps plan. I understand IPTV isn't perfect but is it really necessary to have any faster of an internet speed? For $20 a month more I can get 200 mbps. Will that help with any potential buffering or is it just a waste of money at that point...
