Has anyone successfully got a universal remote working with the tv online plus? I've just broke my second avov remote. They seem to be a bit flimsy so would like to know if there are any other options.

So my dogs ate my avov tv online plus remote. I live on an island so getting a replacement remote will take a while and probably cost a lot more than it should due to postage. Is there any other option. I can't find any apps which will enable me to control it from my phone (I have an android)
