As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Hulk Hogan passed away on Thursday at the age of 71.

The wrestling legend’s later years were marred by scandal, as Hogan drew frequent criticism for both his public and private behavior.

His most recent controversy involved his daughter, Brooke Hogan, who cut off contact with both parents and went public with abuse allegations of abuse.

Brooke Hogan was ‘at peace’ with estranged father at time of death

Brooke’s estrangement from her father became public knowledge in September of 2023, when she skipped his wedding to Sky Daily.

While they allegedly hadn’t spoken in the years since, insiders tell Page Six that Brooke was “at peace” with the state of their relationship.

Sources say she told those around her that she was “grateful” that she said “I love you” to the Hulk in their final conversation.

Brooke and Hulk’s estrangement reportedly stemmed from a number of issues, including her disapproval of his new wife and her wish that he would “slow down” his career for the sake of his health.

Insiders say her husband, Steven Oleksy, tried many times to repair the relationship, but Hulk was inflexible on several important issues.

“He was very proud of her, she was his little girl,” a source close to Hogan family tells Page Six. “We still can’t believe he is gone.”

Brooke has not yet publicly reacted to the news of her father’s passing, which is, of course, her prerogative.

Everyone grieves differently, and privacy might be of the utmost importance to Brooke at the moment.

And after all, it’s only been one day since she learned of her father’s death.

Sources tell Page Six that Brooke found out her father had passed via a text message from her younger brother, Nick Hogan.

Earlier this year, Brooke confirmed that she had cut off contact with both parents.

Her mother, Linda Hogan, responded by calling Brooke a narcissist and accusing her of breaking her collarbone.

Needless to say, it sounds like Brooke made the right decision in going no-contact.

The Hogans clearly had a lot of issues with one another over the years, and it’s difficult for outsiders to know who is at fault.

But hopefully, they can all find whatever kind of support they need as they continue to grieve their larger-than-life patriarch.
