Is there any good reason to buy MAG 275 instead of MAG 254?

no, if mag is your choice go with the 254..you might want to consider the avov for more flexibility...

that box is basically for the European market and not North America...

Mag 254 or Avov is your best choice and if you want xbmc/kodi you can go with the Avov vixo 2
But check them out on YouTube before you make a decision.
